- Built-in embroidery designs and sewing stitches. Brother exclusive motifs, French knots, crochet couching, 3D applique, In the Hoop, one-point alphabet, buttonhole, 160 utility embroidery, 140 frames, 179 utility stitches, and 575 decorative stitches.
- Wireless-enabled and app-compatible. Boost your creativity with Artspira Mobile(2), transfer embroidery designs from your PC to your machine with Design Database Transfer(1) and monitor project progress remotely with My Stitch Monitor(2).
- External Laser Guideline Marker. Attach this accessory to your machine for a projected, adjustable laser guideline that helps sew straight lines or stitch along with the fabric edge using the straight stitch or decorative stitches
- Stitch Tapering. This feature lets you automatically widen or narrow decorative stitches at the start or end of a seam, creating smooth, professional transitions for corners, appliques, and decorative ends on jeans, home decor, and garments.
- Industry-first Curve Sewing. This innovative feature lets you gently guide your fabric with less pressure when the needle is down, making it easy to rotate. When the needle rises, normal pressure smoothly feeds the fabric forward.
- Matrix Copy. Duplicate and arrange multiple copies of the same design to create distinctive, customized embroidery patterns. This feature also allows the maximum number of patches to be applied with the selected embroidery frame at once.

- Effortless fabric feeding. The Auto Drop Feed lowers feed dogs automatically for easy free-motion sewing, and the Compact Digital Dual Feed foot adjusts feeding speed, improving handling of thick, slippery, or layered fabrics that challenge standard feet.
- Efficiency-boosting thread handling. Equipped with time-saving features like a second extra spool pin that lets you wind the bobbin without removing the main spool thread, and an extra blade to cut the thread after bobbin winding is done.

You can return any Brother machine purchased on brother.ca within 30 days of purchase as long as it’s unopened, intact and has a valid Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.* Contact us so that we can assess the best solution for you, either by providing you with a different machine, helping with the setup or issuing an RMA. Any shipping costs are at your expense. However, if we determine that the machine is defective—or if we’re otherwise responsible—we’ll be happy to arrange a pickup at our expense. Once we’ve inspected the return, we’ll refund your credit card.
