If your sewing technique is rusty or you are just new to sewing, many sewing dealers offer courses for beginner or advanced sewing techniques whether it is in fashion or crafting. TIP OF THE MONTH
Use Decorative Stitches for Reinforcement Tacks. There are 3 types of “tack” stitches that are used in sewing. A small but very important stitch that indicates good quality that is included in your sewing machine. Here is what they do:
Tailor’s Tack: These stitches transfer markings on to your fabric, usually with a wide zig zag stitch with loose tension. The stitches can be easily removed after your garment is finished.
Arrowhead Tack: This is a triangular decorative stitch used to reinforce small areas of stress, like the side of a pocket. This stitch can be found with your satin stitches and can be adjusted to the width and density for your project.
Bar Tack: Wide zig zag stitch set at a low stitch length that reinforces small areas of to provide strength, like the top of a button hole or hip pocket.

ACCESSORY OF THE MONTH
Border Frame for NV6000D, NV4500D & PR1000
Border frames are an excellent accessory to simplify the process of embroidering beautiful borders on oversize items either vertically or horizontally. Add borders to items such as quilts, banners, table clothes and runners, and fashion embellishment on skirts, dresses or jackets.
Install the included software easily for your specific machine, attach the border hoop to your embroidery arm and you are ready to go. The software allows you to sew, visible, easy to reference tailor tacks in the areas of your choice, so that you can line up your fabric for the next section.
The top hoop quickly releases so that you can advance your fabric and line up your pattern, allowing you to easily increase your embroidery area. The kit includes the software with additional border designs and the border frame.
