Brother Introduces Two Versatile, Sleek P-touch® Home and Office Labelers

DOLLARD-DES-ORMEAUX (QC) - October 1st, 2007 – It’s been almost two decades since Brother redefined the world of organization with their P-touch® electronic labeling systems. With the introduction of two new models, Brother continues to lead the industry by offering labeling systems that are both extremely intuitive yet offer a robust feature set for truly versatile functionality. Both the PT-1880 and PT-2100 are affordable and attractive labeling solutions for consumer use as well as advanced office and light commercial applications.

Most Functions within their Class
At the touch of a button, users will find their favorite labeling features, including built-in memory to save their most-used texts and short-cut hot keys for symbols, auto format, accent keys, and more. Everyone will appreciate the quick and easy process to create a label- just type, print, peel and stick, to print durable, laminated labels in seconds. Brother also carries standard and specialized adhesive tapes, available in dozens of sizes and colors, which enables users to create a vast amount of print combinations to suite any situation.

PT-1880 Highlight Features:
The PT-1880 offers a sleek new style, smaller footprint and battery-powered portability* allowing it to easily fit in a number of workspaces. This advanced model features 2 professional fonts, with a clear LCD display for easy viewing. It will print on a wide range of P-touch® tape sizes, from extra-narrow 3.5 mm (9/64”) CD/DVD spine tapes, to 18 mm (¾”) wide labels for shelving and small signage. This contemporary mid-sized labeler can print on 2 lines, in 6 type sizes and 9 different type styles. Users can even choose among over 70 different symbols, and 10 frame styles are available to jazz up your labels. Its built-in memory can also save up to 5 of your most often printed labels and its preview key will allow you to check your text and reduce wasted labels.

PT-2100 Highlight Features:
Designed with today’s multi-tasking work around the office in mind, the PT-2100 can easily be used as a stand-alone labeler, or connected to a PC**, enabling users to print logos, bar codes and graphics onto a label (via Brother PT Editor Software***, or directly from Microsoft® Word, Excel® and Outlook® files). Step up features from the PT-1880 also include: 9-label memory, selection of 17 built-in bar codes and automatic tape cutter.
