Brother products are sold in over 100 countries around the world. The Brother Group is owned by Brother Industries Ltd., (TYO: 6448) and headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. Over 100 years ago (in 1908), the Brother Group originated its humble beginnings with two brothers, who opened the Yasui Sewing Machine Co., a company that sold and repaired sewing machines.
The name was later changed to what is now simply called Brother.

Brother Canada is entirely owned by Brother International Corporation (USA) Ltd., which is also the headquarters of the Brother Americas’ group of companies. Established in the United States of America on April 21, 1954 in Bridgewater (New Jersey), Brother Americas employs over 1,100 people.
